Hello guys,

I am making a project in VB.NET. I am using https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa478452.aspx as a starting point.

I need to  make a project on a Server/Client chat Application. I have followed all what the tutorial says, but i keep getting an invalidOperationException. It says, cross-thread operation not valid.

The program in the above program was written in 2001. i am using Visual Studio 2015. So I am not surprised i am gettign errors. But can anyone please help me correct it. I am an amateur, so please be clear and simple.
